1 Phenomenon
Due to contamination of the substrate surface or phosphating film, speckles or map like marks can still be seen on the surface of the dry paint film after electrophoretic coating. The difference between it and water droplets and paint stains is that the coating surface is still flat, but it has an impact on the water and corrosion resistance of the coating film.
2 Causes
1) Insufficient water washing after phosphating.
2) The water quality after phosphating washing is poor.
3) The phosphating treated coated surface is contaminated again.
3 Prevention and Control
1) Strengthen phosphating and wash with water to check if the nozzle is blocked.
2) Strengthen the water quality management of phosphating and water washing, and ensure that the drip conductivity of the workpiece after pure water washing is ≤ 50 µ S/cm.
3) Prevent secondary pollution of workpieces, keep the environment clean, and prevent hanging fixtures from dripping water
The pattern and distribution of the spots can provide insights into the history of the surface. Regularly spaced marks might indicate a pattern of wear, while random spotting could suggest more sporadic events or damage.
